A man who spent 40 years building a gigantic amusement park

On June 15, 1969, a man who went by the name Bruno made the decision to purchase a few bottles of wine, a few sausages, and a few other items of food. He then proceeded to set up a covert food stand beneath a tree in a wooded area in northern Italy, where he began selling in the hope of beginning a business. By the end of the day, he had sold everything, and this led to the establishment of Ai Pioppi, a restaurant that serves the entire family.

However, this is not just any restaurant; Ai Pioppi is well-known for the fact that it houses what Bruno has referred to as “an ecological amusement park.” This is due to the fact that Bruno has been responsible for the creation of each of the attractions with his own hands, a task that has taken him a little more than forty years to complete, but it has unquestionably been worth it.

The wonderful restaurant that also features an eco-friendly amusement park is called Ai Pioppi.
Bruno made contact with a blacksmith in order to have some hooks fabricated so that he could hang some of his wares when Ai Pioppi was one month old. Unfortunately (or advantageously), the blacksmith was quite busy at the time, and as a result, he was unable to complete the work that Bruno required. As a result of this, our protagonist made the decision to learn how to weld, a skill that he turned out to be quite good at. He even began to construct miniature automobiles in order to provide guests with the opportunity to ride about the area.

When Bruno saw that people were enthusiastic about these rides, which were a one-of-a-kind attraction for a restaurant, he made the decision to devote more time to the creation of more complex attractions. As a result, he started making swings, multi-level slides, seesaws, gyroscopes, strange kinetic games, some of which only go around in circles, and even roller coasters for both adults and children.

Around fifty attractions can be found at Ai Pioppi at the present time, some of them even have motorized systems. The fact that Bruno has devoted forty years of his life to enhancing the experience of patrons who come to his restaurant is a positive aspect of this situation. He is responsible for the production of all of the attractions, which he has accomplished via his own self-education and his own skill to weld and install.

Of course Ai Pioppi has become a reference place to visit in Italy since the concept it handles is unique in the world, where Bruno has mentioned that all the inspiration has been in the forms of nature and the movement patterns that are present in this forest , for this reason he has managed to integrate them perfectly, since one of the objectives was to preserve the place and not damage it with the attractions.

Located in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England, the Kursaal (/ˈkɜːrzəl/[1]) is a Grade II listed building[2] that was formerly used as an amusement park. The structure, which was formerly referred to as the Kursaal Palace, was inaugurated in the year 1901 as a component of one of the very first dedicated amusement parks in the world.[3] The venue is well-known for its main building, which features a remarkable dome and was designed by George Campbell Sherrin. In 2011, this same edifice was depicted on a commemorative stamp issued by the Royal Mail.[4]: Between the years 1919 and 1934, Southend United Football Club called the amusement park their home.(5) [5] A significant portion of the park was shut down in 1973, and the remaining portion of the property was shut down in 1986. Before being redeveloped in the late 1990s and reopened in 1998, the building had been abandoned for a considerable amount of time. However, with the exception of a small Tesco convenience store, the property has remained vacant ever since the year 2020.

As the Marine Park and Gardens, the Kursaal site was established in 1894 by Henry Austen on fifteen acres of land that had been leased from the solictor Alfred Tollhurst and his son Bernard Wiltshire Tollhurst. Henry Ernest Milner was the architect that constructed the park, which featured gardens, a bandstand, a sprung dance floor that was 15,000 square feet in size, and a lake that was two acres in size. The land was bordered by a cycling track that encompassed four acres and served as a venue for the games of cricket and football. It was planned by Austen to erect a pavilion in the park to sell alcoholic beverages; however, this was met with opposition from the Women’s Temperance Movement. The Tollhursts were so incensed by this that they announced that they would sell the land for residential use.(6) [6]
